What is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)?

Cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT) is a type of therapy where you work with a coach or therapist in a structured way, over a short-term period. CBT teaches practical skills and techniques that can:

  • Help you face what's holding you back
  • Shift the way you think, feel and act
  • Increase your ability to cope with difficult feelings
  • Improve your mental health
